ACM Remorque en U

The technical evolution of a vehicle designed in 1999

Initially called the « U-shaped Self-Propelled » vehicle when it was designed in 1999, the vehicle was jointly developed with EDF. Since then this strategic client has equipped 8 sites in France with GAUSSIN U-shaped Self-Propelled vehicles.

01

INNOVATION CONTEXT

The first trailer trailer was born in 1995. Soon, the « self-propelled » version was developed to answer the question of the time to loading or unloading of the containers.

02

GAUSSIN'S SOLUTION

The GAUSSIN solution: U-frame trailer equipped with slings fitted with manual twistlocks fixed to the chassis. Lifting of loads stored on the ground by an independent hydraulic unit.

03

GAUSSIN'S INNOVATION

Since 1999, the ACM has undergone several technological changes, from both a mechanical and a hydraulic standpoint.
The specifics of each different client application have led to the design of a standard vehicle capable of handling containers in any type of area.

04

AUTOMATED VERSION

Since 2012, GAUSSIN has integrated new technological components regarding vehicle automation and robotics as a result of its partnership with the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) (See press release dated 30 November 2016).

Equipped with robotics for guided docking and automated secure locking, the ACM does not require any human intervention for all the phases of the handling operation.

The ACM also exists in a version with driver.
